International collaboration with Microbiological Institute of Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague was focused on the effects of white-rot mycetes on the digestibility of wheat straw. Responsible: Dr. Jalc

Collaboration with Laboratory of cell biology and electron microscopy, INRA, Jouy-en-Josas, France was concentrated on the role of nucleolus in preimplantation embryo development. New results about the structure-functional relationships of nucleolar components during nucleologenesis in bovine and rabbit embryo were obtained. Responsible:Dr. Baran

Continuing collaboration with INSERM U 440, Paris, France, led to a new knowledge about the intracellular distribution of phosphoprotein stathmin during preimplantation embryo development. Responsible: Dr. Koppel

Institute was involved also in the EU-Copernicus Project ERBCIPACT940160 (Belgium, Hungary, Romania) with the title Improvement of the quality, naturalness and shelf-life of food products by the use of selected bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria.
